A Mathematics Enrichment Course

Brief outline
The only prerequisite is that the student should have at least started algebra.
1) An extensive exploration of prime numbers including the answer
to the following
question: "Is the number of primes finite or infinite?"
(We will answer the question and prove that our answer is correct.)
2) The rational, real and complex numbers. Proof that radical 2 is irrational.
3) The structure of mathematics (not just how to do mathematics). Groups, Rings and Fields
4) Transfinite arithmetic.
5) Functions
6) Other topics based on the students interests.
